Dental Assistant Trainee

We have just established a new dental practice in Banyan St (Barlow Dental Group) and with increasing demand we are now looking to employ a further Dental Assistant to complement the already established team.

Initially the position will be one to two days a week with the aim to increase days over a period of time. For the right candidate, we hope to be able to offer a full time position in due course.

Pending a satisfactory probationary period we would support the applicant with:

1. "On the job" training and mentoring by 3 very experienced (and friendly) dental assistants

2. Obtaining formal qualifications (certificate 3 followed by certificate 4 in dental assisting) - this will result in the candidate having the nationally recognised qualifications.

We would be interested in someone coming to the end of either year 11 or year 12 and looking to have a career locally. Ideally, someone looking to stay local long term, however we understand this is never a guarantee.

In brief we would be particularly interested in the following qualities:

- Willingness to learn

- Presentable professional appearance

- Personable nature

- Reliable

- Punctual

- Mature

Engineering Apprenticeships-Bayswater

ANCA is a global leader in engineering. It is based in Bayswater and it's marketing manager Greg Perry (an ex-student) has contacted Brauer to say that they are about to employ young people for their apprenticeship program. This would be a great opportunity for interested students.

John rang to say that they are advertising their next apprenticeship program and would encourage interested students to apply. I will email this to students but it may be worth talking to the students about it. The You tube clip is worth showing the students as well.
